Wendy has over 20 years experience teaching mind-body-awareness approaches, including Pilates, the Alexander Technique and Mindfulness-based approaches. She is passionate about helping people learn ways to use their body and mind to minimise stress and strain, to keep flexible and stay mobile and healthy for as long as possible.

Pilates classes are held weekly in Tattenhall, Cheshire from 5.45-6.45pm (Improvers and Intermediate) and from 7.00-8.00pm (Beginners and Improvers).
Alexander Technique lessons aim to help improve posture and ease of movement and relieve back and neck pain. Wendy is both an experienced, Alexander Technique teacher and Pilates teacher with specialist qualifications in teaching exercise to older adults.
Mind-body awareness workshops help you learn how to use the breath, movement and body awareness techniques to help you to feel balanced, poised, calm and centred. There is an emphasis on mindful living to help us appreciate the lovely things we rarely notice and stay healthy for as long as possible.
Pilates can help to improve posture, develop core strength and stability, mobilise stiff joints, help balance and coordination, relieve lower back back and aid sleep and relaxation.

Wendy Broad (BSc (Hons), PhD, MSTAT) is the founder of Mind-Body-Awareness. She has YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates and a YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Exercise for older adults. Wendy is an experienced Alexander Technique teacher, qualifying with STAT in 2003. Wendy gained her Postgraduate Certificate in Mindfulness-based approaches from Bangor University and has been practising mind-body awareness techniques on a daily basis for more than 20 years.
